Dr. Taylor Morris Licensed Psychologist

Meet Dr. Morris

Taylor Morris, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Taylor Morris is a licensed psychologist with a passion for helping his clients build confidence, navigate relationships, and conquer life’s challenges. He believes in collaborating with clients to help them develop and achieve their goals. He works with adults and couples. He also serves as a supervisor to clinicians-in-training and has experience working in community practices, university counseling centers, and schools.

Dr. Morris uses an eclectic approach to therapy that incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mind-body-based interventions. He offers a supportive, non-judgmental space while helping clients build insight and practical skills to navigate life’s challenges. He is particularly skilled in helping clients manage relationship dynamics, make career transitions, address anxiety, and engage in behavior change (e.g., technology use, sleep habits, etc.). He also has expertise in supporting LGBTQ+ clients through various aspects of identity exploration, including coming out, navigating family-of-origin challenges, and—for gender diverse clients—making decisions regarding medical and social transition.

In addition to his primary areas of expertise, Dr. Morris has clinical interests in using nature and outdoor experiences, physical activity, and spirituality as tools for fostering mental well-being.

Before joining Harmony Holistic, Dr. Morris was a research assistant professor at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research focused on supporting the career success of individuals from marginalized communities, primarily the LGBTQ+ community and individuals with disabilities. He continues to teach career counseling practicum for doctoral clinicians in the University of Maryland’s Counseling Psychology program. He was also previously a staff psychologist at the University of Florida’s Counseling and Wellness Center, where he conducted individual, group, and couples therapy.

Dr. Morris offers sessions virtually (across Maryland) and in person at Harmony Holistic’s North Bethesda office.
