Meet Brendan Carroll

Brendan Carroll, LMSW, MSW

Brendan believes in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals. He has a deep admiration and respect for those who have experienced trauma or other difficult life circumstances have come to therapy looking for help. Brendan sees the client as the true expert in their own life and he sees himself as a guide and mentor along the way. He prefers to be genuine, authentic and takes a humanistic approach in the therapy process. He recognizes life’s challenges can feel overwhelming and believes we all carry the capacity to heal within and is qualified and motivated to help his clients to identify and cultivate those hidden strengths in themselves. He is genuine, authentic and takes a humanistic approach in the therapy process. Brendan likes utilizing his sense of humor in the therapeutic process and his laugh has been warmly described as infectious by friends and colleagues over the years.

Brendan enjoys working with  adults, adults, couples, and a special interest in working with seniors. He has experience working with clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, self-harm/suicidal ideation, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Brendan also enjoys working with clients identifying as LGBTQ+.

Brendan has over five years’ experience working with trauma survivors and has done group work, crisis intervention, worked with survivors of sexual assault and is in the process of becoming a certified EMDR practitioner. He utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Theory, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and a strengths-based approach. As a Licensed Master Social Worker, Brendan is being supervised by Alyssa Duda, LCSW-C.
