Meet Morgan Summers-Slaughter
Morgan Summers-Slaughter, M.S.W.
Licensed Master Social Worker
Morgan no longer works at Harmony Holistic. If you would like to work with one of our therapists, please click “Get In Contact” which will send you to our general contact form page where you can request to work with another therapist.
Along with her Masters in Social Work from Catholic University, Morgan has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education with a minor in Communication Education from Utah State University and her first Master’s degree is in Communication Studies from Ball State University. A former teacher at the high school and collegiate levels, Morgan found that the part of teaching she loved most was building relationships with students and helping to empower them to tackle the various obstacles they faced both in class and in life outside of the classroom.
Her varied educational background contributes to her flexibility in using a variety of therapeutic approaches with clients. Though she tends to build from an attachment-based foundation, she regularly uses elements of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), motivational interviewing, and EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy) to assist her clients in realizing growth and achieving their goals.
Morgan is excited to work with clients of all ages and from all backgrounds. She is particularly interested in working with young adults, those in and around the LGBTQ+ community, and those navigating issues related to leaving, questioning, or changing a faith tradition.
