Meet Heidi Harris
Heidi Harris, M.A., LGMFT
Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist
Heidi Harris (she/her) is a Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in helping couples strengthen their bond, repair trust, and reduce conflict. When partners feel stuck in recurring arguments, distant in their intimacy, or overwhelmed by life transitions, Heidi creates space for both to feel heard and supported as they move toward healthier patterns.
She also works with individuals navigating transitions, loss, or stress, guiding them to reconnect with their values and deepen their relationship with themselves and others. Warm and affirming, Heidi prioritizes cultivating positive therapeutic relationships where growth feels safe and possible.
Heidi draws on systemic, trauma-informed approaches and integrates Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused interventions to help couples improve communication, rebuild closeness, and nurture long-term resilience. She has completed Level 1 clinical training in the Gottman Method, a research-based model of couples therapy, and brings these tools into practice alongside her marriage and family therapy expertise. As an integrative therapist, she also weaves together Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness practices to help clients slow down, recognize unhelpful patterns, and strengthen intuition.
Her interests include the intersection of trauma recovery, IFS parts work, and spiritual practices. With a background in international affairs and lived experience in a multigenerational Middle Eastern American family, Heidi brings curiosity and attunement to cultural complexity. She is dedicated to adapting Western psychotherapy models for collectivist cultures and has also supported gender-expansive clients, including writing letters for gender-affirming care during her graduate training.
Heidi’s training and perspective make her especially well-positioned to support couples in cultivating healthier communication and intimacy, while also empowering individuals to find alignment and connection in their personal lives.
At Harmony Holistic, Heidi is being supervised by Dr. Zachary Berman (#LCM909). She accepts clients in-person and virtually in Maryland.
